Dear Parents,

                On behalf of Somerset Christian School, I just wanted to thank you for supporting our Archery program last year by allowing your children to participate in our archery program!  Again, it has been a privilege and honor in working with your kids!  They have had a fun time with it!  Everyone was safe!  We have many kids that can compete this year if they practice.  Age limits are 4th -12th grades…for 2nd & 3rd graders that have shot before, call me….I will have to assess their abilities. They can compete too, if they are able to shoot strong!

 

Our curriculum is NASP standardized across the country.  Every Instructor has been taught the same safe techniques.  To my knowledge, there have been zero accidents in over 800 schools now participating in Kentucky.  We literally have each state represented by at least one school throughout the country also!  It is growing in a tremendous way!  We have an awesome opportunity to compete this year here at SCS.  Regional will be on the 27th, 28th of Feb at the University of Cumberland’s College.  This is where our new Regional Coordinator teaches BAI classes for archery.  I know this is during the Basketball regional tournament as well.  I am working on trying to get our kids qualified prior to that perhaps, that play basketball and shoot archery also!  If we place there, we go to the State tournament in Louisville, KY.  I believe that we have a chance at placing there as well and going on to the nationals.  It is going to be in Orlando, FL!!!   What a ROAD TRIP that will be!!!  We have this type of potential in our kids to doing just this!

 

For anyone wishing to purchase bow equipment, you may contact me at 305-6715 (Cell).  Paul’s discount has them also.  The kits there are around $200.00 plus tax.  They are the Mathews Genesis bows for the school program.  They also make a Mini Genesis for anyone wishing to get the little ones started sooner.  Just let me know if you are interested in purchasing your child one.  I will assist you any way that I can. $126.00 for the bow and 5 arrows.  For all students wanting to start practicing with us, please fill out the form below and drop it off, email or fax it back to the school.  There will be a small sports fee involved with archery to assist needs.  I want to say thank you and I look forward to having an archery team for 2009 at Somerset Christian School!  If the cost is an issue with your child, please let me know confidentially…

We will begin on January 9th tentative to gym availability or Auditorium…Can you begin then?  If not, when?____________We will meet at least once each week for practice of about 1.5 hours…

 

The Sports fee will be $50 for the 1st sport they participate in.  $25 if this is their second.  The Family package is $100.00 for all kids covering all sports.  If I am not correct on this, I apologize.  It is in line with all sports fees.  We will have a chance to purchase shirts….they will be around $10.00 w/all proceeds going directly into the archery program.  Please circle your size:  sm child, med child,   S,  M,  L,  XL,  XXL,  XXXL
