Mr. Akers has been teaching for 13 years, 6 of which have been with Somerset Christian School.  He taught 7 years at Heritage Christian Academy in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.  He has played a vital part in the success of our Secondary students and has earned great respect from both students and faculty.

Mr. Akers attended Murray State University and earned a Bachelors’ degree and is currently pursuing a Masters Degree from the University of Kentucky.

Mr. Akers is actively involved in the drama department and has led the students in an annual “Dinner Theater” production for 4 years.

 Mr. Akers favorite scripture is II Corinthian 5:21  For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
