Mission Statement:
I want my students to enjoy learning, to understand that God has had a plan for their lives from the beginning, and that He wants a relationship with them and loves them; and though they may not remember me, I hope to leave with them a strong foundation upon which their many other teachers and mentors will have to build.
Mrs. Crubaugh began her teaching career in 1996 and took a leave of absence in 2000 to become a mother. She completed her student teaching in Williamsburg, KY with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. She was the Aftercare Director in Danville for 2 years and was involved in the RISE Reading Program. She was also involved in WINGS, a program that teaches high risk elementary students how to fly. She taught at Somerset Christian School in grades 5th and 6th and is so happy to be back!
Mrs. Crubaugh attended University of the Cumberlands where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with an emphasis in Arts and Humanities.
Mrs. Crubaugh discovered her passion for teaching as a junior in college and feels like teaching is a call from God. Her husband serves in the Army and was called to involuntarily activated duty for 2 years in Fort Benning, Ga. During that time she stayed in Somerset and carried on her life as a mother of 3 young boys and feels like it was a learning experience for God’s sovereignty in her life.
Mrs. Crubaugh’s favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 “ And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose”
